It seems that finally we will see some change in Google Search, something new and colorful. Don’t think this is the final look of it, but at least we can get a taste of how it’s going to look and the new feel to it. What I could see till now I like. If you want to try it out, click on the following link where you will find a javascript that you need to paste in to your URL and hit Enter or Return http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2009-11-25-n78.html
Make sure you are logged out from your Gmail account, if you have one, open a new page and paste the code. After you hit Enter type in google.com and hit Enter and you should see the new Google Search.

Google released a Google Dictionary that you can access by google.com/dictionary. The interface is very clean, very user friendly and offers a quick explanation of the word you search for and the synonyms of the word. It also lets you Star words and keeps a search history.
For some words you have images aswell.
The feature that I loved is the option to choose from different languages and it will translate your search to that language.
The web definitions are mostly from http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn or wikipedia.org, I don’t know how relevant the last one is.

Google announced today that in the following days they will roll out a new feature to Google search. This feature will be visible in the built in Latest Results section where the information is pulled in real time and refreshed as more results come in from sites like Twitter. They also have a partnership with Facebook and My Space to get information from those sites. For Facebook it has to be a public page and it will be indexed, for My Space also only public updates will appear in search results.
On the following video released by Google you can see how it will work. Link

I was surfing the internet this morning and I found some very cool settings that you can do in Google Chrome address bar. If you are tired of going through 1-2 pages until you get to the one you were searching for, this are some tips that will make your search more efficient.
We all know Google Chrome is very easy to use and reliable especially when it comes to search. Address bar acts like a search engine but if you want the most of it, try the settings bellow. You will be most satisfied when you for example type “yahoo usa” and it will take you directly to “www.yahoo.com” or you type “twitter” and you will get to “www.twitter.com” .
So here are the steps you need to follow:
1. Go to Customize and control Google Chrome
2. Options
3. Default search
4. Manage
5. Add
6. Name: I’m Feeling Lucky!, Keyword: im, URL: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=%s
7. Click OK
8. Make Default and Close
Now go search for your favorite websites, they will open in less than 2 sec.
