How to justify an iPad
Jun 20th
As a normal person with no tech relating business that brings any monetary profit but at the same time loving all that is related to technology I sometimes have the urge to buy all the new and shiny gadgets that the tech world is releasing. The only issue is, beside the fact that I get to play with the new gadgets there is no other way to justify why I buy them because as far as necessity goes, I don’t need them. I think this is the real situation of most people that love gadgets so I will try to see how can I justify an iPad for myself and hopefully help others in their decision as well, or maybe just confuse others as well as myself.
What does the iPad do?
It does all the things that an iPhone or Android phone can do without being a phone, you can surf the net, watch YouTube, read newspapers and books, play games, listen to music and some basic text editing and lets not forget chatting. The only difference is that it has a 9″ screen that of course comes along with bigger keyboard area to type on.
How can i benefit from it?

Mar 7th
An easy and convenient way to Stream from you Mac to the PS3 is MediaLink. It was developed by Nullriver and it cost 20$ for downloading it. You can of course download it for free and try it out but after 30 minutes is disconnected from the system and you have to reconnect it. The price is not high for the multitude of media you can stream and using it for the last 2 months I have never lost connection with the PS3. The supported formats are: MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV ; MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, DIVX, XVID, AVI, WMV, ASF, MOV, MKV, FLV; JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, RAW, PDF, PS, EPS, TGA.
It support your iTunes music, iPhoto, Aperture and what is a plus you can add any folder you want from the Mac. The software is constantly undergoing updates, getting better and better and offering more stability, more format support.
PS3 to be used by U.S. Air Force Army
Feb 12th
According to InformationWeek the Air Force is looking into expanding their supercomputer by purchasing 2200 PS3 consoles. They are using the PS3 cluster for high definition video processing. The USAF have purchased PS3 systems before, in 2008 and it seams they are satisfied with Sony’s Cell processor. Now if only Sony could make this Modern Warfare 2 issue (crashing) to disappear.

In Europe these Wi-fi Ready models don’t come with the USB Dongle included, you can use any DLNA certified WiFi adapter or modem with the TV. You can also buy USB Wireless LAN adapter from Sony, model name: UWA-BR100 If you have problem with the Wi-fi adapters or USB Dongles let us know in the comment field.
TweetDeck (version 0.32.1)
Feb 5th
TweetDeck just rolled out the latest update for the application and I’m loving it. I have used TweetDeck since the first time I started to really enjoy tweeting and to understand how it works. With the new updates the Re-tweet function is something that I can actually enjoy, works faster and also offers the option to edit. Re-tweet is also one of the new features, next to Geolocation and the possibility to use LinkedIn. The interface has changed, looks more shiny and the way to access the Settings has changed a bit, easy to get used with it.
For those of you, who don’t know what TweetDeck is and how it works, the best way to know more about it is just to Download and try it out, it lets you ad Facebook as well and works both on Mac and Windows.
Funny and lame Facebook posts
Jan 23rd
I have discovered this page today and I’m hooked. It’s the funniest page I have visited recently. What can you find there? All the stupid, lame posts and pictures that people put on their Facebook account. Just give 5 minutes of your time and read it, you will be amazed, or maybe not, at the things some people post just to be noticed, or from pure ignorance. You can also submit lame and funny findings of your own to the page.
Google Dictionary
Jan 22nd
Google released a Google Dictionary that you can access by google.com/dictionary. The interface is very clean, very user friendly and offers a quick explanation of the word you search for and the synonyms of the word. It also lets you Star words and keeps a search history.
For some words you have images aswell. The feature that I loved is the option to choose from different languages and it will translate your search to that language. The web definitions are mostly from http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn or wikipedia.org, I don’t know how relevant the last one is.
